Many citizens queued early before the 08:00 opening, with Election Commission staff and volunteer scouts actively assisting.
The highlight this morning was the story of an 81-year-old disabled veteran from the Vietnam War, residing in Bangkok but vacationing in Yasothon. He arrived at the polling station with firm resolve and, after voting, revealed he woke at 05:00 to exercise his early voting right. He hired a car for 500 baht, believing that despite his disability, his vote is important. He was determined to choose the right candidate and party to govern the country.
He expressed gratitude to the staff for their excellent care of the elderly and disabled, saying he feels at ease having voted for the right person. He confirmed he will vote again in the upcoming referendum and urged all eligible Thais to come out and help elect good leaders for the nation.
Mr. Theerawut Chainon, Director of the Yasothon Provincial Election Office, reported that early voting was held today at six locations across three constituencies in Yasothon Province, both inside and outside districts, with the overall situation running smoothly.
Regarding early voting registrations in Yasothon, Constituency 1 had 1,430 out-of-district voters at the multipurpose dome of Yasothon Pittayakhom School and 33 in-district voters at the Mueang Yasothon District hall.
Constituency 2 had 322 out-of-district registrations at the multipurpose building of Fah Yard Municipality, Maha Chana Chai District, and 3 in-district voters at the Maha Chana Chai District hall.
Constituency 3 had 545 out-of-district registrations at the Kut Chum District hall and 6 in-district voters at the multipurpose dome of Kut Chum District Office. Voters continue arriving steadily, and the Yasothon Election Commission is fully prepared to ensure a clean and fair election.
