On 1 January 2026 at Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan in Chachoengsao Province, Yotsanan Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party’s prime ministerial candidate, along with party leader Jatuporn Chaisang and the four Pheu Thai candidates for Chachoengsao—Thitima Chaisang, Phanpong Asvachaiso, Sakchai Tanjaroen, and Phithak Jarusombat—paid respects to Luang Pho Sothon, the province’s sacred Buddha image, before campaigning in Phanom Sarakham and Bang Pakong districts to support their candidates.
Upon Yotsanan Wongsawat’s arrival at the entrance of Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan, a large crowd greeted him, surrounding him to take photos and offer marigold garlands as well as local specialties from Chachoengsao, including mangoes and grilled sticky rice in bamboo tubes. Yotsanan also met with locals who had come to make merit and asked for their votes for the party.
