A Bangkok MP candidate from the Prachachon Party exposed that the candidate information at the early voting constituencies in Bangkok, when scanned via QR code, is still from 2023. She questioned how the Election Commission could make such a big mistake and said she feels very angry.
On 1 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Chonlatat Koykul, a Bangkok MP candidate from the Prachachon Party, posted on her personal Facebook that her team from Rangnok went to survey the atmosphere of early voting at Rajsit Technical College. They found a board listing candidates for Bangkok constituency 28 placed in front of the voting area, so only voters who came to vote could see it.
When the team scanned the QR code outside, which was supposed to show candidate information for Bangkok, it turned out to display candidate lists from 2023. She asked how such a major mistake could happen, noting the QR code came from the Election Commission's central office.
In summary, the QR codes for Bangkok are all incorrect. She checked with fellow MP candidates; Mr. Taepipob Limjitrakorn from the Prachachon Party said that scanning the code in his own constituency also showed 2023 data. The Rangnok team was on site. The “Ride with Palm” event scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed to 3 p.m.
“Right now I’m angry—very angry, extremely angry.”
