Election Commission officials announced the closing of advance voting ballots at 17:00 hours, ending the time allowed for citizens to vote early. Voters who miss the deadline must report their reason for not voting within seven days before or after election day to preserve their voting rights.
On 1 February 2026 at 17:00 hours, officials at advance voting stations notified voters that the voting period had officially ended, following the opening for voters to cast their ballots starting at 08:00 hours earlier that day.
Throughout the day, voting activity was lively, but several issues were noted: in many areas of Bangkok, QR codes displayed candidate information from 2023, and some stations received complaints about officials incorrectly writing the four-digit electoral district codes, causing confusion and concerns about potential invalid ballots in the future.
However, if voters were unable to vote in advance on 1 February 2026 and cannot vote on the actual election day, 8 February 2026, they may still submit a formal notice explaining their absence within seven days before or after election day to safeguard their voting rights.
