Sakda Wichiansil went to Sangkhla Buri Police Station to report those who leaked an audio clip resembling his voice discussing election assistance with local politicians, firmly denying that the voice is his and accusing the act of having political motives ahead of the election.
On 1 Feb 2026, amid social media circulation of a clip claiming to be a conversation between a parliamentary candidate and a local politician called S.J., Sakda Wichiansil, Deputy Minister of Interior and candidate for Kanchanaburi constituency 5, number 3 from the Bhumjaithai Party, went to Sangkhla Buri Police Station at 15:55 to meet with Pol. Col. Santi Phitaksakul, Superintendent, and Pol. Lt. Col. Thara Naowanich, investigator. He reported that on 1 Feb 2026, while in Sangkhla Buri district, he found a person circulating an audio clip defaming him. He stated the voice in the clip was not his, and he never uttered any words like those in the clip, yet someone fabricated it to sound as if it was his voice.
In the clip, the content implies that he and the interlocutor, a local politician, arranged to assist him in the parliamentary election in exchange for benefits such as appointments or civil servant transfers—actions that are illegal.
The information in the clip is entirely false, as he never made such statements over the phone to anyone, knowing well that such acts are illegal. He believes false information was fabricated and disseminated to mislead voters in constituency 5 to think he committed illegal acts, aiming to persuade voters not to support him for political gain.
He therefore filed the complaint asking the police to prosecute those who fabricated and distributed the clip, and those who falsely claimed the voice was his. He requested prosecution of all involved until the case concludes, accusing them of "deception, coercion, intimidation, influence, defamation with falsehoods, or misleading voters about a candidate or political party's popularity" under Sections 73(5) and 159 of the 2018 Election Act and the 2007 Computer Crime Act.
