At Klong Prem Central Prison at 10:00 a.m. on 2 Feb 2026, Panthongtae Shinawatra, Natthiya Puangkham, his wife, and Phinthongtha Shinawatra Kunakornwong represented the family to visit Thaksin Shinawatra, accompanied by his personal lawyer, Winyat Chatmontri.

This program aims to help inmates develop emotionally and improve their mental health.

When asked if Thaksin had any messages for Dr. Yossanan Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai party’s prime ministerial candidate, ahead of the upcoming general election, Phinthongtha smiled and declined to comment, saying there were none at this time.

Regarding the upcoming general parole consideration in May, when asked if the prison had requested documents from the family or if the family had submitted any documents to the prison, Phinthongtha declined to answer and thanked the Red Shirt supporters for their encouragement, then respectfully bowed and left the prison in her private car.

Additional reports from Klong Prem Central Prison stated that concerning Thaksin Shinawatra’s general parole rumored for May, the prison is currently compiling a list of all inmates to assess eligibility. The parole consideration process involves three levels of committees: the prison level, the Department of Corrections, and the Ministry of Justice.
