Yotsachanan spoke in Sakon Nakhon, where locals presented him with garlands made from sticky rice baskets, dried frogs, and dried fish. He declared his readiness to be the 33rd Prime Minister, sweetly expressing his love for Sakon Nakhon and reluctance to leave, while reaffirming the Pheu Thai Party's spirit of serving the people.
At 10:30 a.m. on 2 Feb 2026 GMT+7, at the Phanna Nikhom Municipal Park in Phanna Nikhom District, Sakon Nakhon Province, Yotsachanan Wongsawat, Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, along with his team, visited to support candidates Jiratchaya Sapso (Jam), running for Sakon Nakhon MP District 3, number 4, and Phatthana Sapso, running for District 4, number 6. The rally area was full of people, who presented Yotsachanan with garlands made of sticky rice baskets, puffed rice, dried frogs, dried fish, and OTOP products.
Yotsachanan said in part, "With the election approaching, many ask which party to choose and who to vote for. Everyone can clearly say that the person selected should be capable of implementing policies and communicating them to the people. Some say this is just campaigning, limited to this month or the past 40 days, marked by numbered signs on lamp posts. But what Jam brought me is the real hardship of the people of Sakon Nakhon. Today, I affirm to the people that we can do something to transform our Sakon Nakhon. The province has a vision to be a center of safe agriculture, progress, trade, and tourism development. But I want to add one more thing: the good quality of life of our brothers and sisters. Without good quality of life, a good province is meaningless. This is what we strive for and have designed policies to support everyone."
Nattawut Saiyakuay, Pheu Thai Party's campaign assistant, said in part, "Pheu Thai's policies remain in the hearts of the people. Whenever the party has been brought down, it has stood back up because the people continue to trust and believe in it. This time is even more important; we must unite to show that the tactics used cannot erase Pheu Thai from the hearts of Sakon Nakhon residents. If the people here had abandoned Pheu Thai, they would have done so long ago, but they continue to choose the party. There have been attacks against Mr. Phatthana, saying don't vote for him because he is from a big family. But I think Phatthana deserves to be chosen because he does not discriminate between big or small families. If he did, he would not survive. The term 'big family' they use seems to mean locals who have hearts for the people, who sacrifice and stand alongside the public in good times and bad. If the 'big family' means corrupt people, drug dealers, or exploiters, then don't associate with them. But if they are selfless and brave givers, what's wrong with choosing them as representatives of the people?"
At 12:00 p.m., Yotsachanan continued to the Wiroj Imphitak Auditorium, Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Campus, Building 14, Mueang District, to support Tuangpat Teerasawatwichai, running for Sakon Nakhon MP District 1, number 5, and Apichart Teerasawatwichai, running for District 2, number 1. People awaited him with indigo cloth garlands from Sakon, vegetables, hydroponic produce, sun-dried Nile tilapia, sticky rice, bread, and various fruits.
Yotsachanan said in part, "The previous government promoted wellness roads and eco-tourism projects, which remain ongoing. Upon entering, we will continue these for the people of Sakon Nakhon. Credit must go to our MPs, Tuangpat and Apichart, who have pushed me to Sakon Nakhon for three rallies. I have grown fond of this place and don't want to leave. I want people to consider what those we choose will give us, because one choice lasts four years."
Yotsachanan added, "We must look at policies, and good policies must come from the people. The government can recognize this through candidates closely connected with the public, fully using their abilities to care for citizens. We cannot advance to a higher-income country if we neglect the grassroots. Today, we aim to solve the entire debt system and not let the people of Sakon Nakhon remain indebted. I promise to clear debts immediately once in parliament. After debt relief, to prevent future debts, Pheu Thai's philosophy is to reduce expenses, increase income, and expand opportunities. We will continue this, including stimulating the economy, providing homes for Sakon Nakhon residents, and helping with spending power by sharing costs: the state pays 70%, citizens pay 30%."
Yotsachanan continued, "If asked where the money comes from and whether the government can raise funds without burdening anyone, I say that during campaigns, everyone promises benefits. Pheu Thai created a structure for nine millionaires daily from the informal sector, which was heavily criticized initially. This effort brings money from informal businesses into the system, generating revenue for Thailand and reintegrating everyone into the tax base for better living. This includes roads and good projects, which usually originate from the central government. But how many say that once elected, they will reduce state power and return authority to local people immediately?"
Yotsachanan said further, "Both MPs have pushed for improved transportation in Sakon Nakhon and tourism, because tourists don't know how to travel here. We must fix the root causes since Sakon Nakhon has lacked long-term investment. Change must begin now with a major budget for upgrades. If we live in a province without floods or droughts, a beautiful province with accessible transportation, that is the quality of life I am ready to deliver immediately after 8 February. Please vote for Pheu Thai in all seven districts, as each MP with one vote can pass laws. Today, laws cause problems; we live with hardships in business and hospital visits. These problems stem from laws that let government officials decide and lead to corruption and fraud. If we solve this, billions will cycle back into the economy."
Yotsachanan said, "Many ask if Thailand can hope to solve these problems. I cite Singapore as an example—a small country the size of Phuket Island with a strong economy, despite multiple ethnicities and more potential for corruption. We have only one nationality, Thai. Singapore pushed digital government forward. I affirm I am ready to be Thailand's 33rd Prime Minister, creating opportunities and declaring war on all forms of corruption. Don't worry; I will handle it so the people can live comfortably."
"This is the policy of a political party that, no matter how many times it is dissolved, retains its philosophy. Regardless of slander, we remain committed to solving people's problems. Pheu Thai's spirit never changes; it is dedicated to serving the people. In the next 4-5 days, I ask for the people's support because we have many MP candidates and party-list candidates ready to care for our future generations. I sincerely ask for votes in all seven districts of Sakon Nakhon, and I will return to pay respects to our brothers and sisters."
