Bhumjaithai Rejects Casinos, Cracks Down on Gray Capital Scammers: Not Politics but National Affairs

Chaiyachon Chidchob stressed that the Bhumjaithai Party rejects casinos and is cracking down on gray capital scammers. He highlighted the achievements of Anutin's government over three months, pointing out that this is not a political matter but one concerning the nation. He vowed to continue these efforts to eradicate these issues.

3 Feb 2026 GMT+7 Chaiyachon Chidchob, Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, together with Kosol Patma, Bhumjaithai candidate for Nakhon Ratchasima's 6th electoral district, and Phonpee Suwanchavee, Bhumjaithai candidate for the 9th district, met with locals and stated that previously, when Bhumjaithai was in coalition with Pheu Thai, their departure stemmed from opposition to casinos. No one in the party agreed with casinos, and they want the public to understand that if Bhumjaithai believes something is beneficial, they pursue it,

but if the public disagrees or rejects it, they listen and immediately stop. This is Bhumjaithai's firm stance. Later, when Anutin Charnvirakul, then Minister of Interior, was pressured out of office, today as Minister of Digital Economy and Society, he canceled an MOU that had served as a gateway for scammers to enter the country. Another cancellation involved online gambling, including iris scanning, digital wallets, and token systems—essentially mechanisms enabling online money laundering. Thailand would have become a global hub for scammers laundering money online.

"Today, having canceled these agreements, I feel proud to have done something significant and can rest peacefully, knowing I contributed to the nation. I promise to continue this work. I want to emphasize that standing here is not about throwing mud at anyone; everything I say is based on real experiences during my work, with clear evidence. All information is now in the justice system. This concerns national security, scammer money, and gray capital, which has even funded neighboring countries to buy weapons to threaten Thailand. These are achievements within three months of Anutin's government as prime minister. Moreover, we reviewed financial data of various groups, leading to asset seizures of the Ben Smith group and others, which is just the beginning. Therefore, we must continue to eliminate these issues."

Chaiyachon added that during the Thailand-Cambodia conflict, as Minister of Digital Economy and Society, he helped promote drone equipment development. Initially, in the first conflict, no one was aware of the drones. By the second conflict, despite having fighter jets like Gripens, if fighting started immediately, even if victorious, many frontline soldiers would have been lost, as drones were a disadvantage. So, they delayed to strengthen forces and then decisively won the final battle. This led some to believe they were not serious, which is untrue because every Thai life is valuable. Thus, this election is especially important, and they urge people to vote and choose the right party. There is a current security threat; the conflict with Cambodia continues and global tensions are escalating.
