Thammanat Dismisses Ice Rakchanoks New Phrase Dont Beg Saying I Dont Give It Importance, While Showing Off Speech Style That Amuses Audience

Thammanat dismissed Ice Rakchanok's new phrase "Don't Beg," stating, "I don't give it importance," while showcasing a speech style similar to some MPs, drawing cheers.

At 11:00 a.m. on 3 February 2026, at the conference building of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Lampang Monastic Campus, Ko Kha District, Lampang Province, Army Captain Thammanat Phromphao, advisor to the Kla Tham Party and prime ministerial candidate, visited to support Ms. Penpak Rattanakhamphu, candidate for Lampang Constituency 4 from the Kla Tham Party.

Army Captain Thammanat delivered a speech addressing the resolution of farmers’ issues to date, including agricultural land deeds, water resource problems for agriculture, agricultural product pricing, farmers’ debt issues, and other related challenges, as well as plans to continue tackling these if given the opportunity to join the government.

At one point, Army Captain Thammanat demonstrated a parliamentary-style speech similar to that of a certain newcomer MP, contrasting with his own fluent delivery that can last one to two hours without a script. This drew applause from the attending villagers. He also asked an elderly woman if she could sing the traditional Lao song "Duang Duean," and she performed a dance for him, delighting the audience.

After the speech, Army Captain Thammanat was interviewed by reporters. When asked about Ice Rakchanok, a party-list MP candidate from the Prachachon Party, who had come to Lampang the previous day to campaign and introduced a new youth slang phrase saying, "Don't Beg" the reporter inquired if Army Captain Thammanat had any other slang phrases to offer. He simply smiled and responded, "No, I don't give it importance." He then raised a white cloth to wipe sweat from his face.
