Jitphat Tun Campaigns in Suan Luang-Pravet, Appeals for Votes for Thai Khao Mai Party

Jitphat campaigns in Suan Luang-Pravet to support Kandchat, appealing for votes for the Thai Khao Mai Party and hearing concerns from vendors at Yong Charoen Market affected by land expropriation that threatens their trading spaces.

On 3 Feb 2026, in the final stretch before the 8 Feb 2026 election, Ms. Jitphat Tun Kridakorn, a party-list candidate and head of the Equality and Human Security team for the Thai Khao Mai Party, visited Suan Luang–Pravet district to assist Kandchat Monkanpai, candidate number 9 for Bangkok's district 22 (Suan Luang–Pravet) from the same party. They campaigned and listened to local residents’ issues by meeting vendors and citizens at Yong Charoen Market, an area currently affected by city reorganization and land expropriation along walkways. Many vendors have lost their trading spaces and face severe income problems. Vendor representatives reported that Bangkok authorities had previously promised to provide new land or trading areas for those displaced, but so far there has been no progress or clear communication, leaving many vendors to suffer alone.

Ms. Jitphat said that livelihood issues and citizens’ rights to earn a living are urgent matters that must not be overlooked. She affirmed that if the Thai Khao Mai Party candidates are elected, their first priority will be to bring these issues to debate and discussion in the House of Representatives to demand clear answers and solutions from Bangkok authorities.

"Urban reorganization must not leave anyone behind. Expropriation or relocation must come with fair solutions, not just place the burden on the people. If elected, this issue will be raised and we will demand answers from Bangkok on how they will resolve problems faced by vendors," Jitphat said. She added that the Thai Khao Mai Party stands firm as an alternative party focused on addressing real economic issues faced by the people in the area and encouraged citizens to exercise their voting rights on 8 February 2026 to help shape the country's future.
