Pita and Wiroj Seek Votes from Ubon Residents, Warn If Orange Votes Are Insufficient, Government Will Remain the Same

Residents of Ubon Ratchathani gathered to hear Pita and Wiroj’s campaign speeches, declaring that the half-half scheme is over and this time voters must cast two orange ballots. They warned that currently the orange party faces intense opposition, and if not enough votes are cast, the government will look the same as before.

On 3 Feb 2026 at the Ubon Ratchathani City Pillar Shrine in Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, the People's Party caravan held a campaign rally led by Mr. Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, Deputy Leader of the People's Party, Mr. Piyarat Jengtep, Deputy Secretary-General, along with Mr. Pita Limjaroenrat and Ms. Amarat Chokepamitkul, campaign aides, amidst a large crowd of attendees.

Mr. Wiroj said he came to Ubon Ratchathani because in the 2023 election, while campaigning in the eastern region, they defeated influential local clans in many provinces, enabling the Move Forward Party to win several seats. Ubon Ratchathani is the only province in Thailand with "Ratchathani" in its name, marking it as a premier city deserving of greater development and progress. However, in the past, Ubon has been exploited excessively by local power networks, making new development difficult as it might threaten their interests.

In the 2023 election, over 300,000 Ubon residents voted for our party-list candidates, but we did not win any constituency seats. Many people said they wanted an early election to settle scores with the red faction. Now that the half-half scheme is over, this election should not split votes. We ask for two orange ballots because winning a party-list seat requires over 300,000 votes.

Currently, the orange party faces being cornered from all sides. If we do not win or do not win enough this round, the government will still be formed by the same old allies who switch parties—from red to blue, blue to red, red to green, green to red. How can Ubon expect change then? Only the People's Party is committed to forming government. We have clearly introduced our management team so people know who will handle what, and we are straightforward with the public.

I admit the People's Party may not meet expectations in every matter, but everything we do is sincere. If we make mistakes, we apologize and improve. We never claim tricks to win votes. How can you say that to people who give you their wholehearted support? The People's Party insists it must grow together with the people. So on 8 Feb, vote for the People's Party with both ballots—do not divide your heart—to secure a progressive future for ourselves and our children.

Mr. Pita said he came today to invite the people to mark both ballots for the People's Party to send Prime Minister Theng into the government house. In the 2023 election, Ubon residents gave Move Forward Party the second highest party-list votes. This time, can we have the entire province vote orange?

The reason to choose orange for both ballots is that with the People's Party, Ubon will "escape poverty and illness." I have studied the numbers on poverty. Thailand has about 40 million workers, with 25 million under social security systems (Sections 33, 39, and 40), and about 15 million informal workers. Ubon Ratchathani ranks first in informal labor. Therefore, there should be a political party addressing how to fight poverty among informal workers, including land redistribution for fairness, debt relief, raising minimum wage, and integrating informal workers into the system. When the People's Party forms government, I am confident it will care for all workers, both inside and outside social security.

Another figure is the number of patients. Ubon has nearly the highest number of inpatients in Thailand. So please choose the People's Party and our candidates to form a people's government that ensures Ubon residents receive quality and equitable healthcare. On 8 February, mark two orange ballots to change Ubon, change Isan, change Thailand, and change the world together.
