Theng Urges Public Not to Believe Edited Clips People’s Party Has No Intent to Overthrow or Abandon Good Things in Thailand

"Theng Natthapong" appealed for two votes with the Songkhla Declaration, a 15-billion-baht project to restore Hat Yai city within four years, declaring that people should not believe edited clips. He affirmed that the People’s Party has no intention to overthrow or abandon the good things in Thailand.

On 3 February 2026 at a large rally held at the plaza in front of Robinson in Hat Yai district, Songkhla province, leaders of the People’s Party took turns enthusiastically addressing the crowd. The event was led by Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, the party leader; Pakamon Noon-anant, the party’s deputy spokesperson; and Rangsiman Rome, the party’s list MP candidate. At 8:30 p.m., Natthapong spoke about solving future flood problems in Hat Yai. He boldly announced that the People’s Party has a concrete proposal called the Songkhla Declaration to restore Hat Yai city within four years. The project involves an investment of 15 billion baht to develop flood prevention systems in Hat Yai. He asked for the opportunity to become prime minister and to have nine of his colleagues represent Songkhla. He sent a message to all Hat Yai residents, saying that they need not identify as "orange" supporters if they believe in a better Thailand, transparent politics without ambiguity, and a management team ready to deliver on promises. He urged voters to give the People’s Party two votes, expressing confidence that they can improve things.

Natthapong stated in his speech, “Today, do not live in fear or suspicion. If anyone still fears or doubts us, I ask you to look beyond the edited clips. Take a moment of your time to see that the journey of myself and my party members has never involved overthrowing or abandoning the good things in Thailand. We will fix what is wrong—corrupt politicians, a biased Election Commission, and a Constitutional Court used as a political tool by the opposition. There are only five days left—time is short. Let’s count down these five days and raise our voices loudly. I firmly believe that if we can plant the orange flag in Songkhla province, we can change Thailand for sure.”
