“Anutin” campaigns in Sisaket to rally support for closing border checkpoints to push rice prices to 20,000 baht, dismisses the "Spicy Cobra Stir-fry" menu, and firmly states he will not serve BM21 rockets to villagers.
On 4 February 2026, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, spent the entire day in Sisaket province, visiting Prang Ku, Khukhan, and Kantharalak districts to support party candidates in the final campaign stretch. The key highlight was promoting the policy of border checkpoint closures as a “people's mandate” directly benefiting the local economy, potentially raising jasmine rice prices to 18,000–20,000 baht. He also declared full support for the Thai military without questioning its purpose, expressing confidence that the military will secure victory for the country and protect sovereignty from Cambodia.
When asked about the case where Mr. Nattawut Saiyakeua, an assistant to the Pheu Thai Party's campaign, planned to serve the "Spicy Cobra Stir-fry" dish, Mr. Anutin responded good-naturedly that anyone can serve whatever they want, but his role is to ensure that people in Sisaket do not have to endure "BM21 rockets." He emphasized that Bhumjaithai does not compete with others by force but focuses on presenting tangible policies. If returned to power, the first project to implement would be "Khon La Khrueng Plus," as surveys show it is most desired by the public. He boasted that Bhumjaithai is now ready with both maturity and experience—“no trial period needed.” If they gain enough votes, they can continue working immediately without waiting to form a new government and lose time.
Regarding the Pheu Thai Party's plan to sue Mr. Sakda Wichiansilp, Deputy Minister of Interior, over a leaked voice clip, Mr. Anutin revealed they have not discussed it yet but recalled reminding everyone during orientation about dos and don’ts. Therefore, anyone who takes action must be responsible for themselves, and the party has no involvement.
