Kittikorn Criticizes Peoples Party for Not Joining Lampang ECs Referendum Discussion Forum

Kittikorn Losuntorn revealed that the People's Party chose not to join the Election Commission of Lampang's forum. He pointed out that Lampang residents actively participated in the constitutional amendment referendum forum and expressed confidence that it was a valuable opportunity to debate the pros and cons of the 2017 Constitution.

On 4 February 2026, Kittikorn Losuntorn, candidate number 4 for Lampang MP from the Pheu Thai Party, spoke about the Lampang Provincial Election Commission's forum held on 3 February to gather opinions on the constitutional amendment referendum. The Lampang EC opened the event to the public, allowing anyone interested to listen and share their views. The EC did not send targeted invitations but welcomed people from all professions to attend.

Kittikorn added that, as a Pheu Thai candidate, he saw this as a good chance to help citizens understand the pros and cons of the constitutional amendment referendum. It is well known that Pheu Thai has campaigned for constitutional reform since the 2023 election. Ultimately, the outcome is up to the voters, who have the right to approve or reject the amendment.

"At the forum, I volunteered as a representative of my political party as a candidate for Lampang MP. I registered to participate myself without any invitation from the Lampang EC. As a candidate from a party committed to campaigning for constitutional reform, this event provided a platform for discussion, which is the duty and responsibility of political representatives to attend and communicate the importance of the referendum. Regarding the People's Party candidate in Lampang complaining that the EC discriminated and did not invite their representative, this is misinformation. The Lampang EC invited everyone to share their opinions generally and did not send special invitations. It is up to interested citizens to participate," Kittikorn stated.
