Anutin rallied the people of Songkhla as candidate number 37, both personally and as a party, highlighting Bhumjaithai's success in resolving southern floods and restoring Hat Yai within one month. Ekniti said he never regretted leaving civil service to enter politics. Thanakorn appealed to those who once loved 'Uncle Tu' to now love 'Uncle Nu.' Supachai fiercely criticized the Democrat Party, questioning whether their politics are truly honest or not.
On 4 Feb 2026 at the black bridge intersection plaza in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, led a major southern rally during the campaign's final stretch. Present were Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, southern commander for Bhumjaithai; Ekniti Nitithanprapas, campaign assistant; Chonlat Ratchakitprakarn; Supachai Jaisamut; Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana; and Ratchada Thanadirek, Bhumjaithai party-list candidate. They supported the nine Songkhla constituency candidates: Sanphet Boonyamanee (1), Sastra Sripan (2), Somyot Plaiduang (3), Yothin Thongnuekhaeng (4), Apichat Lapinee (5), Anukoon Pruksanusak (6), Natchanon Srikorkuea (7), Khosali Dusamoh (8), and Pol. Col. Phitak Phutthawiro (9).
Anutin said on stage he was very glad to meet the people of Songkhla again. Last December, when he came to Hat Yai, he was anxious and worried for the people there. Today, all the troublesome issues have been resolved. From now on, only good things will happen to the people of Songkhla and the entire South. Bhumjaithai has proven it acts on its promises. Whenever Songkhla calls, he comes immediately. Today, he flew near the Cambodian border from Ubon Ratchathani, where air traffic control warned him, 'You're the Prime Minister; don't fly so close to the border or you won't reach your destination.' Instead of arriving in Hat Yai, he might have had to detour to Siem Reap. He apologized sincerely for the long travel time.
Boasted as the only party that understands southern people well.
Anutin said Bhumjaithai is the only party that truly understands the southern people because it was southern voters who helped the party break free from being labeled a Buriram-only party and expand its base since 2019. They have gained the trust of southern voters, and party leaders are deeply grateful.
Anutin continued that whenever there were floods in southern provinces, Bhumjaithai was always the first to reach the people. Last time, regardless of criticism, they immediately went to affected areas in the afternoon. Though some used people’s suffering as political leverage to attack the government, all problems were resolved within two weeks under the Bhumjaithai-led government.
"Bhumjaithai does not point fingers at others claiming to be right while doing nothing. The southern people have suffered greatly, yet no one cared before. Within two weeks and one month, Hat Yai municipality returned to normal. Where is the area in the South where Bhumjaithai, as a leading government party, has failed to help?" Anutin said.
Anutin added that compensation payments have been processed properly, though some claim otherwise. Upon investigation, those who have not received compensation are people who were overlooked or lacked information to register. Now, these issues have been addressed. He urged parties attacking the government to stop falsely claiming compensation has not reached the people. Regarding home repairs, the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning, Ministry of Interior, has taken all reports and is currently surveying. Soon, Hat Yai residents will receive repair funds for their homes.
"Those who criticized during the crisis were nowhere to be found but claimed the government did nothing. Real people like to act, while others just criticize. We never make excuses. Last time, I apologized to the people, but no one can defeat nature. As head of government, I apologize to my people. The people's hardship is the government's fault. But I won't just apologize and do nothing. The more I speak, the more some get angry. Those who do nothing only criticize and appear only on days they seek votes. When Bhumjaithai had zero votes, we still visited the people until over ten southern MPs were elected. This time, we only ask for 35 seats. If that’s too much, let others have some space," Anutin said.
Ekniti praises Anutin for giving him a chance; never regretted leaving civil service for politics.
Ekniti told the Songkhla crowd this was only his second speech ever and the first at such a large gathering. He shared that although he had six years left in civil service, Anutin gave him a chance to help revive Thailand's economy. He left civil service because he saw Thailand stuck like a car in a rut, so they needed to pull it out. The Khon La Khrueng Plus program was launched, with Songkhla as a key engine of the South. Over 500,000 people in Songkhla registered, circulating more than 2.5 billion baht. He has never regretted leaving civil service because he saw everyone smiling and happier, with half their burdens eased, helping vendors sell better. Data shows this helped pull Thailand's economy out of the rut. Given four more years, he is confident everyone will be happier and earn more.
Thanakorn appeals to Songkhla people: those who once loved 'Uncle Tu,' please love 'Uncle Nu' now; criticizes the orange, red, and blue parties.
Thanakorn said no previous prime minister was as capable as Anutin. He had just flown from a speech in Sisaket Province to Songkhla. Anutin is most suited to be Thailand's prime minister as a professional manager dedicated to nation, religion, and monarchy. He urged people to look at candidates from other parties—for example, the orange party whose military questions and failures make it hard for voters to trust them. Their rhetoric claims no gray zones, but their candidates have been arrested on drug charges, making them unfit for election.
Regarding the red party, Thanakorn said their candidate Yotchanan Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai prime ministerial candidate, is better suited as a teacher, not prime minister. As for the blue party, which he refrained from discussing much, they attacked flood management, but Thanakorn and Anutin fixed the problems. The remaining compensation funds are only for the last installment; the government has acted, but the Election Commission has not approved the funds yet. He is confident the final compensation will reach the people.
Thanakorn added that people remember him for working alongside General Prayut, including the Khon La Khrueng program under 'Uncle Tu's' government. He consistently debated this policy in parliament. When Anutin’s government arrived, they continued the Khon La Khrueng Plus program. State welfare benefits will be expanded to cover more people comprehensively.
"I respectfully ask the people who once trusted and loved 'Uncle Tu' to also love 'Uncle Nu.' Don’t divide your loyalty. Choose both the candidate and the party to bring Anutin back as prime minister," he said.
Supachai fiercely criticizes the Democrat Party, questioning whether their politics are truly honest.
Supachai spoke about how the South has not developed over the past 30 years despite the Democrat Party being elected continuously. Trang Province, for example, has had two prime ministers, several ministers, and two Speakers of the House, yet remains the same as ever. In contrast, Suphanburi has prospered. He said the blame lies with the people for continually choosing the same party.
Supachai questioned Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva’s claim of rejecting gray capital, asking if Songkhla is truly clean. He pointed out known illegal gambling dens and online gambling operations, noting that even Commando police officers who arrested these have been transferred multiple times.
Supachai mentioned former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai, saying integrity should start at home. Chuan's brother, a bank manager, embezzled funds in 1994 but was never prosecuted as the case expired. Chuan's elder brother, a former Trang provincial administrator, faced two corruption convictions and was sentenced to prison. Supachai said accusing others of corruption while having such family issues amounts to arrogance and dishonesty—a characteristic of the Democrat Party. He urged the South not to be swayed by Abhisit’s charm and sweet words.
Supachai accuses Abhisit of hypocrisy for rejecting the Klattham Party while people from the same family run in both parties.
Supachai said the political landscape has changed greatly. In Trang’s four constituencies, Bhumjaithai is running candidates everywhere. The area where Chuan’s party has held two terms is no longer Democrat territory. He said the Democrat Party cannot fool the people of Songkhla anymore by asking for votes.
Supachai also noted that Abhisit praised Democrat candidate Sakdit Khaothong, son of former Democrat secretary-general Det Ism Khaothong, while refusing to cooperate with Klattham Party candidates like Wongwatchara Khaothong, who is from the same family. Supachai avoided calling the Democrat Party a deceiver but said it has misled people for 30 years and must be taught a lesson.
After the speeches, Anutin led party leaders, candidates, and attendees in standing at attention to sing the Royal Anthem together.
