At 08:30 on 5 February 2026 (Thailand time) The Royal Thai Embassy in Paris, France, announced that it has sent 2,594 ballots for members of the House of Representatives (MPs) packed in six diplomatic mail bags to be returned to Thailand. Mr. Peeraphon Peeranont, Consul, handed them over to Ms. Saowalak Rungwattanajinda, Election Management Director 1 of the Election Commission, and her team at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The ballots were scheduled to arrive in Thailand on 5 February 2026 at 06:00.
In summary, a total of 2,594 ballot envelopes were sent back to Thailand, representing 88.84% of the 2,920 registered voters. The Royal Thai Embassy in Paris thanks Thai nationals for their cooperation in voting and participating in the overseas referendum, as well as Thai associations and communities in France for supporting the process to ensure ballots were returned on schedule for counting in Thailand on 8 February 2026.
