The Election Commission (EC) has revealed the procedure for reporting the 2026 election and referendum results. After the polls close, votes will be counted at each polling station before being sequentially verified for accuracy, then the unofficial results will be announced.
The 2026 election falls on 8 February 2026. Thairath Online urges Thai citizens to exercise their right to vote for MPs and participate in the referendum from 08:00 to 17:00 at their designated polling stations according to their household registration.
The Office of the Election Commission has disclosed that immediately after the polls close for the election and referendum, the process of reporting unofficial results will begin, following these steps:
Step 1: Upload documents by photographing the vote count report form.
Step 2: Enter numerical data including the number of eligible voters, number of ballots, and votes received by candidates/parties or referendum votes.
Step 3: Verify the accuracy once more and confirm submission of the data to the district score center.
Note: The reported results are unofficial to allow the public to quickly follow trends. Official results will be announced according to the legal process.
