At Klong Prem Central Prison on 5 Feb 2026, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, accompanied by her husband, Mr. Pitak Suksawat, and Mr. Bannapot Damapong, the eldest adoptive brother of Khunying Pojaman Damapong, represented the family in visiting Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra along with Mr. Winyat Chatmontri, the lawyer.
Meanwhile, outside the prison, a group of Thaksin’s classmates from Montfort College in Chiang Mai, batch MC 08, awaited the family with smiles before they entered. Ms. Paethongtarn greeted the classmates warmly for about 1-2 minutes and joined a group photo. During this time, one representative from the group said, “We hope Thaksin will be released soon,” to which Ms. Paethongtarn briefly replied, “Let’s hope so,” before proceeding inside to visit Thaksin.
After about an hour of visiting, Ms. Paethongtarn and the representatives left with bright smiles and spoke again with the Montfort classmates. Ms. Paethongtarn said she had conveyed the messages from friends to Thaksin, who responded with happiness and gratitude and asked everyone to take care of their health. When asked if Thaksin left any messages about the political situation or the upcoming 8 February election, she said no, then immediately left with her husband in their private car.
