Thammanat campaigns in Chiang Mai, asking for votes for genuine Northern candidates, presenting the entire Kla Tham team for all 10 districts. He declares that politicians who do not work should not be elected and pledges to continue land restitution and promote agricultural land titles.
On 5 Feb 2026 at 18:30 GMT+7, at the central stadium in Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, the Kla Tham Party, led by Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat Prompao, party advisor and prime ministerial candidate, took the stage to campaign for Kla Tham’s 10 parliamentary candidates in Chiang Mai. Before speaking, Thammanat warmly met the waiting public, who welcomed him with traditional white checkered scarves tied around their waists, garlands, and oranges, and many requested photos.
Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat said he traveled to Chiang Mai, a large province, visiting Doi Tao District in the morning, then Chiang Dao District, and finally Fang District, covering over 800 kilometers to meet as many people as possible. He urged voters to elect representatives who work, not those who seek power. Some politicians beg for votes with hands raised and even bow down during campaigns but ignore the public and refuse to serve once elected. Such people should not be chosen.
"If the people of Fang, Mae Ai, and Chai Prakan districts elect Kla Tham candidates to serve, please remember that we are servants of the people. Whether villagers are right or wrong, the people’s interests come first," he said.
Thammanat added that during the coup period, land allocated by the state for poor farmers or those without farmland, meant strictly for agricultural use under Sor Por Kor 4-01, totaling over 6,000 rai, was seized without cause or resolution of public hardship. Since he began working, they have returned land to the people for farming, dividing it individually rather than in collective plots. Importantly, they have converted Sor Por Kor 4-01 land into agricultural title deeds. Their policy is to change the green Garuda deeds to red ones. For residential land managed by the Treasury Department lacking documentation, after 8 February, if the current government continues, he will address these issues comprehensively.
"If people vote for Kla Tham Party, number 42, they will have me working for them. Since 2019, I have continuously cared for Chiang Mai residents, addressing floods, droughts, and low agricultural prices. We have solved these problems and can continue policies immediately. So I ask the people if they want such good things. On 8 February, go to the polls for Kla Tham Party, number 42. We reject the old and choose the new. Please elect genuine Northern people to manage the country as representatives of villagers and farmers," Lieutenant Colonel Thammanat said.
