"Ice Rakchanok" broke down in tears during a major People's Party rally, swearing that if she remains alive and an MP, she will do everything to protect the dreams and hopes borne by the people. She called on everyone to unite in sending "Teng" into parliament to form a government.,
On 6 Feb 2026 at Venue 1, Thai-Japanese Sports Center, Din Daeng, the People's Party held its final major rally, "Change Thailand." Ms. Rakchanok Srinoak said: Since we were born in this country, I believe many here share my experience. If you studied in public schools or grew up in slums, you would have seen many social problems: drug addiction, teen pregnancy, or poor children dropping out of school. As children, we were made to believe these problems are normal and unsolvable—fate or karma that causes us to live this way.
Ms. Rakchanok said: When we see big schools with wide sports fields, we might think it's our misfortune to be born into poor families. But it's not so. Parents and workers go out to work, inhaling toxic PM 2.5 dust. We wonder when this will end, only for the problem to recur year after year. Yet no one seriously seeks solutions. Those contributing to social security receive meager benefits and have been led to believe since social security’s inception that it cannot fix anything.
Because the rights are limited, and people don’t know whom to demand from. When elderly, they receive similarly poor welfare and think that by doing good deeds this life, they might be born into a wealthier family next time. I want to say that everything they face from womb to grave is not due to karma but because they were born during times of incompetent governments. Many governments lacked genuine intent to serve the people—that matters more than capability.
Ms. Rakchanok said: If we had a government with genuine intent, people in remote and provincial areas would see decentralization and financial distribution, so they wouldn’t need to migrate to the capital to compete for work and life. Decentralization is the key to prosperity in every province. What the Future Forward and Move Forward parties, now the People's Party, propose is simply the normal, ordinary system seen in developed countries.
But the changes we propose have always been distorted as frightening, as efforts to overthrow conservative beliefs. I affirm that the changes we dream of include an education system preventing poor children from dropping out, enabling economic uplift without exploitation by big capital through inflated electricity or market prices, and a justice system where everyone stands equally before the law. This is the change we envision.
However, the 1% who control the country’s resources, bureaucracy, licenses, and power distort our intentions, causing people to misunderstand our reforms. This 1% seeks to divide the people into factions and destroy the very organism representing the people's hopes and dreams.
They dissolved the Future Forward Party and stripped rights from leaders like Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, and Pannika Wanich simply because this group wanted to engage in honest politics and openly disclose their funding sources. Meanwhile, those accepting large donations to buy votes, falsify accounts, or receive money from scammers to rig elections insult the people but face no consequences.
I do not say this alone. Two days ago, Col. Thammanat Prompao, chief advisor of the Kla Party, confirmed his strong belief that all political parties buy votes. We thank him for affirming that all parties do this. Only the People's Party, if accused of such, would have parents and people defending that in the morning they are still going door to door asking for food.
Ms. Rakchanok continued: They dissolved the Move Forward Party just because we were committed to our work. We are the party with the most MPs voting consistently in parliament, yet they dissolved us. They revoked the rights of Pita Limjaroenrat, former Move Forward leader, even though, for example, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources Suchart Chomklin voted only 138 times out of 183 recorded votes. Many MPs don’t even vote on laws affecting people’s lives but face no penalties.
I want to ask: What wrong have we done? Is it a crime to want this country to break free from old power systems and for people to unite to form the government they desire? Is that our fault?
At the end, Ms. Rakchanok tearfully said: Today, as a People's Party member, many ask what else we will face. No one knows what powers or tools will be used to destroy us or this orange organism. But I firmly believe that in this election, nothing will be the same.
I swore to myself in parliament on the day Mr. Pita stepped down that I would devote myself fully to earn the highest support from the people. In this election, we must not let things end as before. We must send Mr. Natthapong Rueangpanyawut, People's Party leader, and the party's executive team into parliament to change and build this country together.
Ms. Rakchanok added: I swear that if I remain alive and an MP, I will do everything to protect the dreams and hopes the people have placed on us. Political analysts may assess many things, but they forget the awakened people who think independently and believe in change. We will build this change together. I call on the people to be a bronze wall and iron fence for us today, to send Mr. Natthapong to the prime minister’s seat.
"I promise, we orange organism members promise, that what you have lost faith in—the government that will work earnestly for the people without corruption or graft, dedicating body and soul to bring happiness and prosperity to this land, enabling our country to stand among civilized nations—this we vow to deliver."
"We orange organism, the People's Government, will do our utmost. Give us a chance, give hope this country deserves, through the ballot box on 8 Feb after 17:00. We will have a new future, new possibilities, and an opportunity for a constitution that is a milestone for a just society, with independent organizations accountable to the people, serving them. Please give the People's Government a chance to help build and transform this country together with the people," Ms. Rakchanok concluded.
