Sirikanya Highlights Difference Between PCH Government Team and Technocrats, Promises to Lead Nation with Hope

Sirikanya declared that the People’s Party (PCH) government team is different from the 'technocrats' of the coup-installed government. "We are open about who we are and our backgrounds; we did not come from nowhere."

On 6 Feb 2026 at Sports Hall 1, Thai-Japanese Sports Center, Din Daeng, the People’s Party (PCH) held its final large rally, promoting the "Change" campaign. The stage was filled with key party figures, concluding with the presentation of the three prime minister candidates: Veerayut Kanchuchat, deputy party leader; Sirikanya Tansakul, deputy party leader; and Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, party leader. Many supporters from the Orange Dome gathered early from 2:00 p.m. to secure seats for the speeches.

At 8:00 p.m., Sirikanya Tansakul, deputy leader of PCH, spoke about unveiling the government management team. She said that during the coup government, the cabinet was full of technocrats, yet nothing changed. The PCH management team is completely different because these individuals come with strong political will. They did not appear out of nowhere; they openly share their backgrounds for everyone to see. They bring the hopes and dreams of the people to transform them into a driving agenda to change the country. They have solid backing because the people support them to realize our hopes and dreams. This is the difference. We come as a full team—as mentioned, the cabinet must have 36 members, complete—not just three. Running the country is not like playing sepak takraw.

"We have come this far, reached today, and only have a little left. We are about to reach the finish line to win victory for everyone. Let’s join together to form the People’s government with the People’s Party. Only two days remain. I believe that by the evening of the 8th, no later than 8 p.m., we will say this name: Prime Minister Natthapong Ruangpanyawut," Sirikanya said.
