"Julapan" Rouses energy for the February 8 election, promoting "Pheu Thai" as the people's hope, endorsing "Yotsanan" to lead the nation beyond conflict
On 6 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Julapan Amornwiwat, leader of Pheu Thai Party and prime minister candidate, spoke at a major Pheu Thai rally. "Yotsanan can do it, Pheu Thai can do it, Thailand can do it." He pointed out that the February 8 election is a crucial turning point after politics was distorted by a minority government and extrajudicial powers, emphasizing that Pheu Thai has stood for democracy for over 20 years and never abandoned the people.
Julapan also announced support for "Chen-Yotsanan Wongsawat" as prime minister, highlighting his qualities as a new-generation leader, a global innovator, empathetic to the people, humble, non-divisive, and confident that Dr. Chen will lead the country beyond conflict toward a better future for all Thais, stating the full message as follows.
For some, the upcoming February 8 election may be their first; for others, just another election. But for me, this election is not merely casting a ballot or political competition; its outcome will change Thailand for a long time.
Since August 29 last year, everything has changed completely—once again, our prime minister was removed by power not derived from the people's vote, and Thai politics remains distorted. The party with the most MPs in parliament, the People's Party, supported Bhumjaithai to form a minority government, causing great harm to the country. Yet the parties involved in the MOA remain detached and politically irresponsible for the damage caused.
This distortion and dangerous sign is not about Pheu Thai becoming opposition, but that the minority government, determined by the MOA, has created a political phenomenon risking unprecedented democratic regression.
What we see is the return of a strong conservative political force, massive civil servant transfers preparing for the election, key cases, and budget favoritism.
"Nim wants to tell you that all Thais love the nation, but most do not love you. Only the People's Party loves you wholeheartedly."
After parliament dissolved, some of our allies chose to leave. Pheu Thai was stigmatized by society. Some predicted Pheu Thai’s demise, with fewer than 100 MPs, or even extinction if another election occurred.
At the party's toughest time, I was entrusted as party leader and selected as one of Pheu Thai's prime minister candidates. Leading Pheu Thai is the highest honor and greatest responsibility.
I asked myself if I could restore the party's strength and silence all doubts. Ultimately, the answer was simple: this is not the first time we've been attacked, but we rise every time with the people's power.
Over 20 years, from Thai Rak Thai to People's Power to Pheu Thai, we've faced coups, friends assassinated in the streets, repeated legal battles, sometimes retreating, sometimes enduring hardship, often making tough decisions despite criticism and distorted rules, but never abandoning the fight for change, as Chen-Yotsanan said, 'We just must not die.'
The fight for democracy has no shortcuts; hope matters only if democracy means people eat well, sleep soundly, have jobs and income, the economy prospers, the country is stable, and people are strong. The image of people nationwide never fades from our hearts. We know the people never abandon us, and Pheu Thai will never abandon the people.
Some parties claim Pheu Thai abandoned Red Shirts or try to claim the Red Shirt identity. On painful days when we were called derogatory names, wore red shirts, and were insulted on the streets, some still rejoiced in Red Shirts' deaths.
But today, Red Shirts have a voice and place in society again. They can proudly stand tall. That day confirms my confidence that Pheu Thai has returned, grandly, remaining the hope for all Thai people.
For the upcoming election, I believe no party in the country discusses policies as much as Pheu Thai. We continue to push policies benefiting the people. I invite everyone to close their eyes and imagine.
- The day when people can receive treatment under the 30-baht universal health scheme anywhere, without traveling far.
- The day when hot, smoke-filled buses will be replaced by air-conditioned buses costing only 10 baht.
- The day when travel costs are not burdensome due to 20-baht flat-rate skytrain rides.
- The day when farmers no longer gamble on costs because they know they will earn at least 30% profit in advance.
- The day when debts of the elderly and citizens are no longer shackles.
- The day when Thais and farmers no longer worry about floods or droughts.
- The day when gambling is not a financial burden but saved money for retirement.
- The day when drugs and scam gangs can no longer destroy our children.
- The day when talented Thai students can study abroad with opportunities and without financial worries.
- The day when arts are valued and Thai children can create freely.
- The day when we don't need to check pollution before leaving home but can breathe fresh air daily.
- The day when social security meets workers' needs with professional management and increased benefits.
- The day when Thais are free from poverty, with at least 3,000 baht monthly income.
All this will be clearer and more effective with a digital government using precise data through the Millionaire Policy, willingly integrating people into the system. This is the Thailand we want to see. My daughter is here today, and as a father, I will hand her a better society. Pheu Thai will build a better Thailand for all. Let's create it together by electing Pheu Thai to government and sending Yotsanan as prime minister.
After GenZforPheuThai expressed many views, I thank the Gen Z members who opened their hearts to Pheu Thai. Each of your voices is as valuable as any in the country. Every choice and decision is ours; be proud of your voice. We learn together what happened in the past, why we still love Pheu Thai, and why we are proud to choose it.
Finally, I want to speak about Pheu Thai's prime minister candidate, Yotsanan Wongsawat, known as Dr. Chen. I've known Chen since his first run for MP in Chiang Mai in 2013. Over 50 days recently, I've come to understand Chen deeply. He is an innovator recognized globally without question, creating new ideas to develop people and the country. Chen is a leader empathetic to others, spending much of his life finding ways to help the disabled and committed to success.
Online comments ask, 'Have you supported Chen today?' reflecting positive energy, hope, and confidence. Most importantly, Chen is humble, does not belittle others to elevate himself, does not quarrel or use divisive rhetoric. I believe he will be a prime minister who leads the country out of conflict and represents all Thai people.
