Yotsachanan Ready to Be 33rd Prime Minister, Seeks Chance for Pheu Thai to Lead Thailand Again

Committed to serving the Thai people. "Yotsachanan" said he is ready to be the 33rd prime minister and asks for the chance for "the Pheu Thai Party" to take care of Thailand once again.

On 6 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Yotsachanan Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, spoke at a major Pheu Thai rally. "Yotsachanan can do it, Pheu Thai can do it, Thailand can do it." He concluded by saying, "Many may think but dare not dream that farmers could have high incomes. Many may think but dare not dream that Thailand would be free of corruption. Many may think but dare not dream that every Thai would have the best quality of life. Many may think but dare not dream that Thailand would be a city with clean air, safe for our children."

"Many may think but dare not dream that every Thai child must receive the best education. Many may think but dare not dream that teachers, civil servants, police, and soldiers would earn enough and be dream jobs for children again. Many may think but dare not dream that we would have our own technology, standing on our own feet with dignity on the global stage, gracefully in this era of technological warfare. And many may think but dare not dream that Thailand would be a high-income country driven by science and technology."

"I have always believed that for Thailand, if we work together, everything is possible. On 8 February, I, Yotsachanan Wongsawat, am ready to be the prime minister of the Thai people who will turn the dreams and hopes of our fellow citizens into reality," Yotsachanan said.

Yotsachanan continued, "In 2008, I began fighting for technological sovereignty for the Thai people, asking why Thailand has no technology of its own, why we lack good medical equipment to save Thai lives, and why disabled Thais are not treated equally. After 17 years defending technological sovereignty for Thai people, I have proven that with good support, Thais can do it. Thais are not inferior to anyone and can go further. In 2014, I entered politics with determination to continue providing good things made by Thais to Thais."

"But problems were greater than expected. While we questioned the future, many Thais still wondered about their next meal. 3.4 million Thais earn less than 3,000 baht a month. Many are bedridden patients. I saw clear disparities in health and education between urban and rural children. I witnessed many families collapse from drug problems."

"Although I did not reach my goal in that election due to political injustice, I realized that technology alone is not enough to create a good quality of life without heart and true understanding of people's suffering. If given another chance, I tell myself I am ready to try again with an understanding heart. In 2025, I received another chance, and this time I am ready to say to everyone: For a better quality of life for Thais, I am ready to turn the hopes of every Thai citizen into reality. I will do my best for all Thais," Yotsachanan said.

Yotsachanan added, "The hopes of our fellow citizens—the farmers hoping for better prices for their produce, that farmers and planters will profit, that they will not be repeatedly devastated by floods or droughts; the hopes of traders awaiting purchasing power and the return of tourists; the hopes of SMEs and startups competing with foreign products."

"The hopes of fishermen; the hopes of teachers and civil servants whose incomes do not cover expenses; the hopes of citizens to access good healthcare even in remote areas; the hopes for convenient, safe, and affordable transportation; the hopes for clean water and electricity lighting every corner of Thailand; the hopes that their children will be safe from drugs; the hopes to be cared for by the state when they fall."

Yotsachanan said, "In the past 40 days, across every hopeful forum in Thailand, this journey has passed with laughter, smiles, and tears. Eyes truly seeking help and last hopes came to me to say, ‘Make it happen, son, help your mother.’ Eyes filled with concern came to support because they once survived on the 30-baht universal healthcare policy. Tears came from grandmothers reunited with families through the drug suppression of the Thai Rak Thai Party. Tears from red-shirt comrades who fought together brought back the same shirt to tell this child that they are still always by our side. Eyes came to encourage me when I was weary, to give me strength to do my best."

"I do not know how long I will remain in this world, but this is what I will deliver to all Thais in the next four years for the best day for Thais. I will do my best to bring the informal economy into the system, increase the country's income base. Thailand will stand proudly on the world stage through science and technology. Thailand will give chances to those who fall to rise again, solve debt systemically, and care for the vulnerable because they are Thai. Expanding high-value agriculture, clean industry, and high-value services, we will elevate the health economy, innovation economy, and all forms of financial economy. We will build infrastructure in every dimension for Thais to build confidence for Thailand on the global stage. We will manage water and disaster systems. Thailand must be corruption-free with a digital government, caring for citizens with fair data science."

"Most importantly, Thailand will uphold its democracy under a constitutional monarchy. Everyone, the light of hope is about to rise. On 8 February, may I have the chance for the Pheu Thai Party to take care of all Thais again? I, Yotsachanan Wongsawat, am ready to be Thailand's 33rd prime minister for a greater Thailand, turning the hopes and dreams of our fellow citizens into reality."
