Anutin Chanvirakul declared that the Bhumjaithai Party has undergone a four-month trial period and now seeks to work earnestly for another four years. He defined the 'Ban Yai' party as one that provides attentive and thorough care for people in their local areas. He highlighted the theory of “giving people fishing rods, not fish.” He asked voters whether they preferred a government that Cambodia fears or one that fears Cambodia, declaring that Anutin’s promises are trustworthy.
On 6 February 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Mr. Anutin Chanvirakul, party leader and Bhumjaithai Party’s prime ministerial candidate, took the stage as the final speaker for the party. He said that as the party leader, he had never felt so excited before.
The Bhumjaithai Party has served the country for 17 years and understands that this year is more challenging than any other because they are competing for the prime ministership. Therefore, he must adjust their approach so that everyone in the room and the Thai public will see that they are capable and worthy of being the main political party that the Thai people can rely on. Since he became party leader in September 2012, the party has consistently grown larger in every election. This time, he promised Bhumjaithai would grow even more than double.
Mr. Anutin added that the party’s efforts to develop itself and elevate its work—through policy, mindset, and personnel placement—are aimed at managing the government so that the Thai people see Bhumjaithai as ready to lead transformative development, making Thailand a home everyone can be proud of.
Today, Bhumjaithai comes before the public again, presenting on this stage what they have done and their work throughout the country, seeking support and trust from Thai citizens to vote for the party on the upcoming 8 February election.
Trialed for 4 months, seeking to work earnestly for 4 more years.
Mr. Anutin further stated that he and the party’s economic team have already presented what Bhumjaithai will do if trusted by the Thai people. These represent the party’s hard work to build confidence among voters: having trialed for four months, they now ask to work seriously for another four years.
Bhumjaithai has set four main policy pillars to lead Thailand toward stability: economic, disaster security, and quality of life. The key components of these pillars were presented to the public today to assure that all efforts will be coordinated simultaneously for maximum effectiveness.
Before changing the country, one must change oneself. Today, the Bhumjaithai leader tells the people that the party is definitely not the same as before. The major change lies in their mindset and working methods. While some have called Bhumjaithai a mere 'Ban Yai' party, that label is partly correct but misunderstood. A 'Ban Yai' party simply helps and cares for people locally without structural planning. However, the three leaders have proven that Bhumjaithai’s party structure is stronger than reinforced concrete in a 50-story building, guaranteed not to collapse. If anything collapses, it will not be the structure Bhumjaithai built.
The definition of a 'Ban Yai' party is one that diligently cares for local constituents without neglect.
“As the chief engineer here, I will not allow the structure to intimidate the people. The meaning of being a 'Ban Yai' party is to care for people locally without neglect. Every Bhumjaithai candidate has never been a boss; they must attentively engage with villagers in daily activities. We live alongside the people constantly and are proud to be called a 'Ban Yai' party.”
Mr. Anutin added that Thailand’s potential will be enhanced by working harder and adopting a 'plus' approach, such as the '10 Plus' and 'Thailand Plus' policies. The party will create opportunities for citizens to increase income and improve every family’s prospects. Focus will be on growth industries including clean energy, electric vehicles, AI technology, and the green economy to enable Thai entrepreneurs to be producers and sellers who can overcome trade barriers. They are also pushing for Thailand to join the OECD to stand among developed countries, enhancing competitiveness and business capacity.
Furthermore, Bhumjaithai will modernize public utilities. Children will continue to receive free education, and lifelong learners will gain new knowledge and skills. Workers will acquire new skills to keep pace with future job markets. Even those serving as national defenders will be trained through a volunteer military policy, ensuring personnel are skilled in territory protection and professional care for citizens. This will foster a military force proud to defend the homeland.
Responding to The Financial Times labeling Thailand as the 'Sick Man of Asia,' Mr. Anutin said that if Bhumjaithai returns to power, they will never accept that label. Instead, Thailand will be robust and energetic, becoming a global economic security partner. He affirmed that Thailand will not accept any rules that harm its interests or diminish its capabilities.
Highlighting the theory of “giving people fishing rods, not fish.”
Within the geopolitical system where Thailand is strong in many areas, Bhumjaithai insists it will not allow the country to be constrained by harmful rules that reduce its potential. If the people return them to power, Thailand will become stronger with emerging industries and a better future. Past populist handout policies are no longer effective; merely giving money has long-term negative impacts. Such policies serve short-term political gain, but ultimately ordinary Thais bear the cost. If the party continues to propose populist spending without creating opportunities, Thailand will face increasing problems. Bhumjaithai believes in the theory of “giving people fishing rods, not fish.”
Given Thailand's current situation surrounded by competition and pressure, choosing leaders with readiness, knowledge, and proven success increases the chance of continuing achievements for the country, compared to inexperienced individuals.
Affirming Thailand is not a trial ground for novices.
Thailand is not a training ground or trial site for newcomers without prior national-level experience. Should the future of the country be entrusted to novices or to professionals prepared to lead? This time, Bhumjaithai is ready to present professionals for public consideration. The party has recruited many professionals, significantly changing its work mindset. The party is now stronger, broader in thought, and more ambitious.
Today, Thailand cannot wait nor take risks. When Bhumjaithai members work, Thailand will not risk falling behind globally or returning to old cycles of conflict. They will not risk corruption, nor lose sovereignty. Therefore, choosing Bhumjaithai means no risk for Thailand.
He emphasized that Thailand cannot have a government that is still in trial or internship mode. The Thai people cannot afford internal conflict. If citizens choose Bhumjaithai, these risks will be eliminated. The country requires cooperation and unity from all sides. He pledged to work diligently with his team to realize this for the nation.
Vowed that Bhumjaithai will not lose sovereignty or territory.
Mr. Anutin clarified the Thai-Cambodian border situation, affirming that if Cambodia does not invade, there will be no problem. The first clash ended in a stalemate because the previous government agreed to a ceasefire before the military completed its mission, leading to provocations and a second clash during his premiership.
“But my premiership differs because my government supported the military to complete its mission. Our unified efforts reclaimed all Thai territory previously invaded. This achievement deserves everyone’s acclaim—not just for Bhumjaithai the party, but for Thailand’s sovereignty and territory, which remain intact. Our government has established complete security over our lands.”
Asked whether voters want a government Cambodia fears or one that fears Cambodia.
Mr. Anutin continued that the current ceasefire agreement insists all parties remain in place and prohibits further incursions. Moreover, there will be no third clash preventing elections. He assured that preparations have been made to handle all scenarios. He urged people to vote heavily to ensure smooth elections and a clean victory for Bhumjaithai.
“Trust Anutin and Bhumjaithai on this matter. Vote number 37 to keep a government that protects national sovereignty and Thailand’s land. Choose Bhumjaithai so no one dares invade again. Do you want a government Cambodia fears, or one that fears Cambodia? We don’t want the latter. Vote Bhumjaithai number 37.”
Claiming four key seats: Anutin for prime minister, Sihasak for foreign minister, Supachai for commerce, and Akniti for finance.
Mr. Anutin concluded with good news: if Bhumjaithai returns to government, he will be prime minister, Sihasak deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Supachai deputy prime minister and commerce minister, and Akniti deputy prime minister and finance minister. These ministries are reserved for Bhumjaithai. The government will immediately cancel MOU 44, rejecting any 50-50 profit-sharing arrangements—which he called the 'Half-Half Plus' policy of Akniti—designed for Thais, not Cambodia. Thus, any prior proposals for 50-50 resource sharing in the sea will end. Regarding MOU 43, he will ask Sihasak, the future foreign minister, to expedite plans for the ministry and military to present options to the government for the greatest benefit of citizens and nation. He assured Thailand will never be disadvantaged or lose territory under Bhumjaithai’s government after 8 February 2026.
Anutin’s promises declared trustworthy.
Mr. Anutin added, “I give you my word, my promise is trustworthy. I pledge to make you proud to be Thai. This election is for everyone’s survival and progress. Bhumjaithai is committed to serving the country and leading Thailand to sustainable stability. On Sunday, vote for Bhumjaithai number 37 and for our constituency MPs to ensure Thailand moves beyond political instability, conflict, economic threats, and security challenges that have long troubled us. Vote Bhumjaithai number 37 to immediately move Thailand forward without delay or lost opportunity. Choose Bhumjaithai number 37 to bring in professionals strong in politics and administration to serve you. Vote Bhumjaithai number 37 to have loyal public servants return as prime minister. Vote number 37 for success shared by all Thai people.”
