Democrat Party Launches Final Bangkok Motorcade Campaign Highlighting a Safe Path for Everyone

Abhisit Vejjajiva led the Democrat Party in launching the final motorcade campaign across Bangkok, reaffirming their stance as a "safe path" for everyone regardless of status, and emphasizing honest politics as the crucial foundation for the future.

At 08:00 on 7 February 2026, the atmosphere at the Democrat Party headquarters was lively. Abhisit Vejjajiva, party leader and prime ministerial candidate, was present.

He led party executives, leaders, and members in paying respects to the Earth Goddess statue, a sacred symbol of the party, to seek auspiciousness before starting the final day of the campaign activities.

They then launched the motorcade of party candidates, divided into three routes throughout Bangkok, to campaign on the last day before the 8 February 2026 election.

Before the launch, Abhisit gave an interview clarifying the party's direction after the election. He said the main goal of the Democrat Party is to gain the people's trust to participate in government and ensure the new administration will be transparent and free from corruption. "The Democrat Party is here to stay, having returned and ready to serve the country’s interests. I believe the public will give us the opportunity to strengthen and manage the government. This means a government including us will assure everyone a safe path, safe from corruption, poverty, inequality, conflict, and external problems. But if we are not in government, we are ready to serve as an opposition and thoroughly oversee. Personally, if the party asks me to continue, I confirm that even alone, I will do my best to fight corruption and abuse. So please be confident that the Democrat Party is back and will continue to stand with the people, performing our duties to the best of our ability regardless of our status. We are the safe path for everyone."

When asked about the final day of campaigning, Abhisit urged voters nationwide to decide based on correctness and to come out to vote and participate in the referendum together. He emphasized adherence to "honest politics," rejecting bribery, as this is the fundamental foundation leading to a better economy and society in the future.
