The Election Commission disclosed a court order removing 18 constituency candidates and 31 party-list candidates from the parliamentary election. It urged the public to verify candidate names before voting, as marking a disqualified candidate could result in a spoiled ballot. However, disqualification of party-list candidates does not affect voters' ability to select a party.
On 7 Feb 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at the Election Commission office, Acting Lt. Therefore, removal of any individual candidate will not impact the party’s eligibility, and voters can still choose their preferred party as usual.
Acting Lt. Pasakorn said that the Election Commission has coordinated with provincial offices to remove disqualified candidates' names from the voting stations, including crossing out their names on ballots. This is to prevent votes cast for disqualified candidates from becoming spoiled ballots.
