
“Big Pom” accompanied by his younger brother walked from their Lat Phrao 71 home to vote early in the morning, urging the public to exercise their voting rights widely. He stated that whoever people want as government, they should vote for that person, adding that the new government must be strong.
At 08:01 GMT+7 on 8 Feb 2026, General Prawit Wongsuwan, advisor to the Palang Pracharath Party, along with his younger brother, retired Senator Sitthawat Wongsuwan, walked from their house in Lat Phrao 71 alley to polling station number 12, Saphan Song subdistrict, Lat Phrao 71 alley, Wang Thonglang district, nearby, to vote for members of parliament and participate in the referendum. They arrived among the first voters, with General Prawit holding voter number 462.
General Prawit wore a bright smile. While waiting his turn, he was intermittently greeted by other voters. After completing voting for MPs and the referendum, he departed at 08:31 GMT+7.
General Prawit gave an interview urging the public to exercise their voting rights and participate in the referendum, saying, “I invite the public to come out and vote. If we want a particular government, we should vote for that one.”
When asked where he would follow the election results in the evening, General Prawit smiled and said, “I won’t go anywhere, I’ll stay home.” When asked to offer blessings for Thailand’s soon-to-be-formed government, he said, “The new government must be strong.” When asked if there were any concerns, General Prawit replied, “No, none at all.”
