At 09:00 on 8 February 2026, Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, prime ministerial candidate and leader of the Democrat Party, arrived at Sawasdee Wittaya School, Wattana District, Bangkok, to vote. Upon arrival, he checked the voter list and found he was number 48.
Afterwards, Abhisit entered the booth to vote and participate in the referendum. He then gave an interview urging citizens to come out and vote in both the election and referendum to jointly shape the country's future. When asked about the high voter turnout today, Abhisit said it was a positive sign and encouraged everyone to exercise their rights. When asked if he slept well last night, he replied, 'The team lost.'
