Dr. Ae, accompanied by his parents, voted at a polling station in Bang Kapi, expressing confidence that constructive politics will win the hearts of Thai people. He declared it the most important day and encouraged citizens to exercise their voting rights.
On 8 February 2026 GMT+7, Prof. Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat, or Dr. Ae, leader of the Thai Khao Mai Party and prime ministerial candidate, cast his vote at the Lam Salee School (Rat Bamrung) polling station on Srinakarin-Romklao Road, Hua Mak Subdistrict, Bang Kapi District, Bangkok, accompanied by his family.
Dr. Suchatvee shared his feelings after voting, saying he was excited to bring his father, mother, and wife to vote together, especially as his parents are nearly 90 years old but remain enthusiastic and determined to vote.
"My parents and I live in the same district, even next door, so I’m happy they still come to vote together despite being nearly 90. Our whole family voted today. I’m fortunate to have their constant support since I’m an only child. They have been with me through every important moment of my life, from childhood to my political career, encouraging me daily. This morning, I also paid respects to them," he said.
When asked about his confidence in this election, the Thai Khao Mai Party leader affirmed his belief in constructive politics and expressed confidence that the public will support policies made for the nation.
"I am confident because I always say I practice constructive politics. I believe Thai people will open their hearts to political parties and politicians who focus on genuine policy work. I’ve seen many people come to vote and smile, asking for photos, which makes me very happy. Today is the most important day of my life and likely one of the most significant days in Thai politics," he said.
Additionally, Dr. Suchatvee reminded voters to plan their travel and urged all citizens to participate in the election, emphasizing that election day is when the people are truly the most important.
"I ask everyone to come out and vote because election day is truly when the people are the most important. So please come on time, whether in the morning or afternoon, but don’t be late because traffic can be heavy. Everyone should come out and vote. Let’s work together to bring change to our country," he said.
When a reporter probed about his preferred coalition partners, Dr. Ae briefly replied, "I can’t say today, but I definitely have my thoughts."
