At 08:39 on 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Seththa Tawisin, the 30th former Prime Minister, walked with his beloved dog Chaokaw from his home in Sukhumvit to vote at Constituency 4, Polling Station 15, located at the City Lake Tower parking garage, Sukhumvit 16, Khlong Toei Subdistrict, Khlong Toei District, Bangkok. Mr. Seththa stated, "Today is another important day that will determine the country's future. It's a day when all citizens have equal rights. From now until 5 p.m., I want everyone to fully exercise their rights, including voting in the referendum. During tough economic times, the people’s hope lies in the new government that will push forward and stimulate the economy so everyone has more money in their pockets."
Asked about public enthusiasm for this election, Mr. Seththa said, "In the 2023 election, about 70% voted. This year, the goal is 80% or at least no less than last time. I hope everyone votes fully; the more, the better. I encourage everyone to vote early—now the weather is neither hot nor rainy—so let’s decide the country’s future."
At 09:09, Mr. Jatuporn Chaisang, a party-list candidate for the Pheu Thai Party, accompanied by family members such as Mrs. Thitima Chaisang, candidate for Constituency 1 in Chachoengsao for Pheu Thai, and Mr. Kalayut Chaisang, Chief Executive of Chachoengsao Provincial Administration Organization, went to vote in both the MP election and referendum at Polling Station 4, Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province. After voting, Mr. Jatuporn told reporters he urged everyone to vote in both elections and the referendum, emphasizing that every vote matters as the people's power in shaping the country's future.
At 10:30 at Polling Station 15, tent at Sports Ground 1, Village Khehathani 3, Bangkok, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the 31st former Prime Minister, along with Khunying Pojaman Damapong, and Ms. Pinthongta Shinawatra Kunakornwong, Mr. Pitak Suksawat, husband of Ms. Paethongtarn, and Mr. Natthapong Kunakornwong, husband of Ms. Pinthongta, came to vote. They smiled and greeted the crowd watching the voting atmosphere. Ms. Paethongtarn is listed as voter number 464.
Upon arrival, Ms. Paethongtarn lined up to verify her voter registration and receive the ballot papers for constituency MP and party-list MP before entering the booth to vote. She then received the referendum ballot. After voting, fans asked to take photos with her and her family. Ms. Paethongtarn then returned home before heading to monitor vote counts at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters in the evening.
