Suwat Votes in Korat Election, Hopes for Stable Government as 71st Birthday Gift

Suwat exercised his right to vote in the Korat parliamentary election, wishing for a stable government as a gift for his 71st birthday. Meanwhile, the Thaiset family members, Chada and Sabida, voted in Uthai Thani.

At 09:09 on 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Suwat Lipta-phalop, former Deputy Prime Minister, along with Mr. Thewan Lipta-phalop, went to cast their votes in the parliamentary election and referendum at polling station 169, constituency 1, located at the multipurpose pavilion inside Wat Lakh Roi, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Suwat was assigned voter number 241, and Thewan number 242.

After voting, Suwat said the election is a solution for the country. He believes the public will enthusiastically vote because everyone hopes for a new government to address the country's problems. He wants to see a new government that is both stable and competent. If the new government secures more than 300 seats, it will enhance political stability and build confidence among domestic and foreign investors. He emphasized that the new government must urgently revive the economy, as Thailand currently faces challenges in tourism, investment, and exports. He urged the new government to fulfill the campaign promises and visions presented during the debate to move the country forward.

When asked about his upcoming 71st birthday on 9 Feb and what gift he would like, Suwat said that since his birthday coincides with the election period this year, he wishes for this election to bring about the best government to solve problems and further develop the country.

Meanwhile, at Wat Chumchon Municipal School, Wat Maneesatit Kapidtharam (Wat Thung Kaeo) in Mueang District, Uthai Thani Province, Mr. Chada Thaiset, candidate for MP in Constituency 2 of the Bhumjaithai Party, arrived to cast his vote along with Miss Sabida Thaiset, Bhumjaithai Party party-list candidate, both smiling cheerfully.
