
The Chonburi Governor visited polling stations to check orderliness, expecting voter turnout to exceed 70%, and confirmed no election law violations have been found.
At 3:30 p.m. on 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Narit Niramaiwong, Governor of Chonburi, accompanied by Mr. Isra Charoenchasri, Deputy Governor, Ms. Kwanruen Srichan, Chonburi Provincial Clerk, Ms. Yaowalak Krueakhamsao, Public Relations Officer, Mr. Anusak Piriyomorn, Bang Lamung District Chief, and police from Huay Yai Police Station, observed the election of Members of Parliament and the referendum vote at polling stations 8 and 9, Ban Phu Thair School, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi.
After the visit, Governor Narit Niramaiwong said that the team—including the Deputy Governor, Provincial Clerk, Provincial Election Director, and Public Relations Officer—jointly inspected and encouraged election officials in various areas such as Phanat Nikhom, Ko Chan, Bo Thong, Nong Yai, and Si Racha districts.
Initially, there have been no reports of problems or obstacles during this election, and he affirmed that no major or significant issues have occurred across the province. The 1,700 election officials have been performing their duties orderly and in compliance with the laws for which they have been trained.
Chonburi has nearly 1.2 million registered voters, and this election has seen strong public engagement. It is forecasted that by 5:00 p.m., voter turnout will exceed 70%.
Recent reports indicate voter turnout has surpassed 60%, which is a positive sign that many citizens are exercising their voting rights in this election.
Nonetheless, the Governor invited all eligible voters who have not yet voted to participate within the remaining hours. Despite afternoon rain, he is confident the election will conclude successfully.
