On 8 February 2026 GMT+7, the Election Commission Office explained a social media post questioning the appropriateness of Secretary Saeng Bunmee meeting with Sakol Thanettarakul, or 'Mayor Nueng,' the mayor of the Khlong Bang Plakod Subdistrict Administrative Organization, amid rumors of election complaint investigations.
The Election Commission confirmed that the photo is from an official duty on 10 December 2024, when Secretary Saeng presided over the opening of a democracy education training project at Wat Yai Bang Plakod in Samut Prakan Province, invited by the provincial Election Commission. The project was conducted by the Democracy Promotion Center, funded by the Subdistrict Administrative Organization to educate local residents. Furthermore, the Subdistrict Administrative Organization member elections held on 11 January 2026 had no complaints of election fraud.
