Reporters say that Chonburi District 1, Mueang District, is a fiercely contested area where Mr. Suchart Chomklin, candidate number 1 from the Bhumjaithai Party, is personally running against the incumbent Mr. Worath Sirirak, candidate number 7 from the Prachachon Party. The report is from polling station 26 in Saen Suk Subdistrict, Mueang Chonburi, considered a stronghold area of Chonburi.
As of 18:50, Mr. Suchart still leads Mr. Worath from the Prachachon Party, followed by candidates from the Democrat Party, the Economic Party, the Pheu Thai Party, the Palang Pracharath Party, and the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party.
At the Saen Suk Municipality, the location for all 10 polling stations, although the ballot boxes closed nearly two hours ago, voters are still present observing the vote count continuously despite light rain.
At polling station 27, despite delays in starting the count, by 18:50 Mr. Worath was leading Mr. Suchart, though the margin was not decisive.
