On 8 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, the prime ministerial candidate and leader of the People's Party, addressed the unofficial election results. He expressed gratitude to the citizens who exercised their voting rights and participated in the referendum. Although the election outcome remains unofficial, he congratulated the approval of the referendum by the people, marking progress toward amending and establishing a new constitution. Currently, with over 60% support, the People's Party recognizes that based on the current vote count, they may not be the top party. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the leading party to form the government. The People's Party will not establish a rival government. The election results reflect the will of the people.
