Anutin pointed out that today's victory belongs to the people, not just the members of the Bhumjaithai Party. He affirmed that the country will be governed with integrity and dedication, working to serve everyone to the best of their ability, including those who did not vote for them.
On 8 February 2026 at 22:15, Anutin Chanvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, along with party leaders, held a press conference. He expressed his deep gratitude to the Thai people for the votes and support given to the Bhumjaithai Party to serve as representatives. Although the official confirmation of the number of party members elected as MPs has not yet been announced, observations and coordination with candidates suggest that the Bhumjaithai Party is likely to have the highest number of MPs from this election.
He addressed the public saying that the support given to the Bhumjaithai Party today is a victory for the people, not just for the party members alone. They accept the decision of the people who have entrusted the party with confidence and trust. This mandate from the public requires the party to govern the country, ensuring stable and sustainable prosperity for Thailand and to solve the problems that concern the Thai people.
Anutin continued that the party has received a clear signal from the public and humbly accepts the people's directive to govern the country with honesty, dedication, and firm adherence to the democratic system under the constitutional monarchy. Their work will focus on the benefit of the nation, religion, monarchy, and the people.
"The victory of the Bhumjaithai Party today is the victory of all Thai people, whether they voted for us or not. From now on, the Bhumjaithai Party regards all Thai citizens as those we must serve with our utmost ability," he said.
Anutin added that for now, only unofficial election results are known. They must still await the official certification of both constituency and party-list MPs from the Election Commission, which by constitutional mandate must be completed within 60 days after the election.
"Today, I sincerely come to thank the people. As for the next steps, there are procedures to follow, but I can assure that all actions will prioritize the interests of the people and the nation. I thank the people once again and congratulate all political parties and elected MPs from all 400 constituencies and the 100 party-list MPs. I sincerely hope we all will work together to serve the country to the best of our abilities, regardless of our roles," Anutin said.
