On 9 Feb 2026, reporters reported that after the polls closed at 5:00 p.m. on 8 Feb, election officials began opening ballot boxes and counting votes around 5:30 p.m. simultaneously for constituency MPs, party-list MPs, and referendum ballots, with candidate observers closely monitoring the counting at each polling station.
As of 6:50 a.m. today, the Election Commission summarized results from all eight constituencies, revealing that Bhumjaithai Party swept all MP seats in Surin Province, an unprecedented event in Surin's major political history, detailed as follows.
Constituency 1: Ms. Benya Mungcharoenporn from Bhumjaithai Party with 45,714 votes.
Constituency 2: Mr. Natthapon Charasropipong from Bhumjaithai Party with 52,161 votes.
Constituency 3: Ms. Phakamat Charoenphan with 44,112 votes.
Constituency 4: Ms. Suree Thammat from Bhumjaithai Party with 44,718 votes.
Constituency 5: Mr. Phuchong Supakwarangkul from Bhumjaithai Party with 41,134 votes.
Constituency 6: Mr. Lamloet Puapattanachot from Bhumjaithai Party with 50,655 votes.
Constituency 7: Mr. Rueangwit Kanuwattanapong from Bhumjaithai Party with 43,020 votes.
Constituency 8: Ms. Patida Tantirattananon from Bhumjaithai Party with 51,275 votes.
Previously, in the 14 Feb 2023 election, Surin Province had three constituencies—2, 4, and 5—still held by the Pheu Thai Party. Most notably, Bhumjaithai managed to defeat the frontrunner in Constituency 5, Mr. Krumanit Sangphum of Pheu Thai Party.
