The Prime Minister said he was not aware that the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) was preparing to file charges against 44 former Move Forward MPs regarding the lese-majeste case. He added he would support them and, if they are confident of their innocence, they should provide explanations to be helpful.
On 9 February 2026, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior as well as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, was interviewed regarding the NACC's preparation to file charges against 44 former Move Forward MPs related to amendments of Section 112. He said he was unaware of the matter and asked when it was happening—today or earlier. When informed by the media that it involved former Move Forward MPs now with the People's Party, Anutin asked if the NACC had already made a decision, saying he would check the news first as no one had reported it yet.
When asked if he would offer support to the former MPs involved, Anutin said he would support everyone. He noted that the country’s justice system is in place, and if they are confident and innocent, they should prepare explanations or testimony that would be beneficial.
When asked whether the timing of this news was appropriate following the recent election, Anutin replied that he is not the NACC and preferred not to be too close to that matter or to be too informed about it.
