
Anutin joined the 71st birthday celebration of Suwat with a merit-making ceremony at Wat Traimit, creating a warm atmosphere. Suwat returned the blessing, wishing Anutin success in governing the country and completing a full 4-year term as Prime Minister.
At 10:30 a.m. on 9 February 2026, Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop, former Deputy Prime Minister, held a merit-making ceremony to mark his 71st birthday at Wat Traimit Witthayaram, attended by family and close associates.
The ceremony included inviting Somdet Phra Phutthachan (Sanut Chuanpanyo), the abbot of Wat Traimit Witthayaram, Supreme Patriarch of the Eastern Region, and member of the Sangha Supreme Council, along with Somdet Phra Maharatchamongkhol Muni (Thongchai Thammathacho), assistant abbot of Wat Traimit and Supreme Patriarch of the Central Region and also a Sangha Supreme Council member. They conducted merit-making by offering alms to 40 monks from Wat Traimit.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, after winning the election on 8 February, came to offer birthday wishes to Suwat and paid respects to Somdet Phra Maharatchamongkhol Muni (Thongchai Thammathacho), then paid homage to Phra Phuttha Maha Suwan Patimakorn (Luang Pho Thong Kam) for auspicious blessings.
Anutin said he came to respectfully wish the “noble lord” a happy birthday and joined in blowing out the birthday cake. Suwat returned the blessing by wishing Anutin success in governing the country and completing a full 4-year term.
Afterwards, Anutin paid warm respects to Grandma Charaspim Liptapanlop to seek her blessings before joining the meal together. Anutin said, “I especially came to enjoy Grandma’s homemade hor mok,” amid a friendly and warm atmosphere.
