“Theng” Rides Parade Truck to Thank Bangkok Residents, Vows to Keep Going Despite Challenges, Moved by Orange Youths Tears

“Theng-Pichan” and “Ha-Kokiat,” the incoming Bangkok MP for District 14, paraded to thank Bang Kapi residents and visited markets to express gratitude for votes. They affirmed their determination to continue working tirelessly without discouragement. Meanwhile, orange youth supporters cried as they encouraged them, saying, “Fight for our future, too.”

On 9 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, accompanied by Mr. Pichan Chaopattanawong, party executive, and Mr. Kokiat Kosungsak, the incoming MP for Bangkok’s District 14 from the People's Party, rode a sound truck to thank Bang Kapi residents who voted for the party, leading to victory in that district. The parade started from the party office, passed Ramkhamhaeng, and proceeded to the front of The Mall Bang Kapi, continuing to Lat Phrao 101 Road.

Along the route, Mr. Natthapong thanked Bangkok residents who supported the People's Party across all 33 districts. This is the first time the Orange Party has swept all 33 districts in two consecutive terms, an unprecedented achievement. At one point, Mr. Pichan took the microphone and introduced Mr. Natthapong as “Prime Minister” but paused, smiled at him briefly, then corrected himself to say “Leader Theng.”

Mr. Natthapong continued, “Today, I, Leader Theng, come to thank Bangkok residents who still smile and have not lost hope. Although overall we did not win the general election and could not form a People's government, we come to encourage one another to keep moving forward together. We remain committed to working fully. There are still many laws we must enact for the people.” He added, “Over the past eight years, we have come a long way. A little further won’t hurt. In four years, we will form the government and continue moving forward together.”

Throughout the route, residents lined the streets to cheer and encourage, shouting “Keep fighting!” at intervals. Some handed Mr. Natthapong orange bags as gifts.

At 17:09 GMT+7, Mr. Natthapong and the People's Party team arrived at Media Market in Bang Kapi to thank residents. Crowds gathered to greet, take photos, offer encouragement, and hold signs urging him to continue the fight. Some called out “Theng, keep fighting!” while others embraced him in support.

Some residents also brought flowers and gave Mr. Natthapong orange bags. He greeted the vendors, saying, “Hello, merchants. I, Theng Natthapong, come to renew hope for each other. I promise not to give up. Let’s fight together.” He reaffirmed his commitment to continue working fully.

As he continued greeting people in the market, a group of youth approached to encourage Mr. Natthapong and the People's Party, crying as they said, “Keep fighting, fight for our future.”

After finishing at the market, Mr. Natthapong greeted residents again at the back of the market. Responding to questions about ongoing vote recounts in problematic districts, he said several are still in process and affirmed he would fully protect every vote.

Mr. Natthapong then asked Bang Kapi residents, “Did anyone have trouble sleeping last night? Me too. I won’t cry; if I do, I’ll cry with you. Today, tears of joy and hope help us move forward together. Let me hear from those who won’t give up and will keep moving forward together.”
