Chonnaphat Naksua thanked the people of Songkhla District 4 for continuing to trust him as their MP. He believes this trust stems from his active engagement in the community. He emphasized that if he had truly done anything wrong, the police would have arrested him before the election.
On 9 February 2026, Chonnaphat Naksua, the MP-elect for Songkhla District 4 from the Kla Party, spoke after winning with over 43,000 votes. He first thanked the people of Songkhla District 4 for their ongoing trust and confidence in him. Over the past two years, while serving as MP, he devoted himself fully to caring for the community and is pleased that voters still believe in his work. He has always adhered to the motto: "Do more than you say."
Before the election, he was not worried because he had already been working hard in the community. Even when road accidents occurred, he personally rushed to the scene out of concern for the people. Although opponents from other political parties (Democrat and Bhumjaithai) also competed, he was not concerned. It was evident as voters gave him more than half the votes compared to the two major opponents. Within the first 30 minutes of counting, his vote tally surged well beyond theirs.
When asked if he feared any post-election attacks, Chonnaphat said that although he had been under investigation by government agencies and was currently engaged in legal proceedings, he has complied with all judicial processes, submitting documentation to officials. He frankly stated that if he had done anything wrong, the police would have arrested him before the election. He remains confident in the justice system.
After being elected, he plans to develop and drive improvements in local governance at the provincial level, noting that many are aware of ongoing issues in Songkhla's local administration. He has plans to advance Songkhla’s local government system. Additionally, he will follow policies from Captain Thammanat Prompao, leader of the Kla Party, particularly regarding flood management.
