Teng Says Losing Is Acceptable But Cheating Is Not, Urges Election Commission to Recount Votes, Responds to Suchart Not to Divert the Issue

"Teng" responded to "Suchart," urging him not to divert the issue. If acting in good faith, a recount should be allowed to prove the truth. He called on the Election Commission to conduct a new count so all parties can accept the results.

On 10 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the Prachachon Party, spoke about the unrest in Chonburi's District 1 after ballot papers were found discarded in a trash bin. He said the party sent a management team to monitor the situation with local residents. Finding ballots in the trash is highly improper. Therefore, he urged the Election Commission to consider ordering a recount for the whole province or even nationwide, believing this is feasible to ensure transparency and full acceptance of the election results by all parties.

The Prachachon Party leader affirmed that no party leaders led protests, countering claims by Mr. Suchart Chomklin, a Bhumjaithai Party candidate, who suggested there were hidden figures behind the movement. Such accusations are unfair to citizens defending their rights. He told Mr. Suchart that if transparency is truly desired, he should support a recount to jointly verify the facts. The Prachachon Party proposed consolidating votes for a recount in a public venue, allowing media and citizens to inspect again. This would be the best solution to resolve doubts about election fraud this time.
