The People's Party held a press conference calling on the Election Commission (EC) to disclose polling station-level election results nationwide, to recount votes in districts with suspicious irregularities, and to perform their duties transparently, warning that failure to do so could result in legal action under Section 157.
On 10 Feb 2026 GMT+7 at the Future New Building, the headquarters of the People's Party, Teera Suthewarangkul and Kittichai Techakulwanich, prospective party-list MPs for the People's Party, jointly held a press conference addressing the party's efforts to scrutinize the EC's management of the 2026 elections.
The People's Party made three demands: 1. Disclosure of polling station-level data nationwide; 2. A recount of votes in districts with suspicious irregularities; 3. Launching a complaint submission system for election grievances.
Kittichai stated that the People's Party urges the central EC to instruct provincial EC offices to disclose vote counts at polling stations via the EC's official website.
Currently, candidates in all 400 constituencies are closely monitoring the accuracy of the election results. Additionally, many citizens are awaiting the election outcomes.
Regarding the second demand, People's Party candidates in 18 constituencies have submitted requests for a recount in these districts: Khon Kaen 3, Lampang 2, Surat Thani 1, Chonburi 1, Maha Sarakham 1, Nakhon Ratchasima 13, Chainat 1, Samut Prakan 6, Tak 1, and Saraburi 1.
They also filed additional requests for eight more districts: Chiang Mai 6, Chiang Rai 6, Nakhon Ratchasima 2, and all five districts in Suphanburi, totaling 18 districts. Beyond these, the party plans to submit further recount requests in other districts with suspicious irregularities.
Thirdly, the People's Party has launched the Vote 69 website to allow the public to report information about vote-buying and improper conduct by election officials at polling stations.
Upon receiving reports, the party will forward these to the EC for further action. The website also allows complainants to track the status of their submissions. The party urges citizens nationwide to report any suspicious or improper activities via the Vote 69 website.
Teera Suthewarangkul revealed that evidence indicates the recent election involved irregularities and lacked fairness. The People's Party is conducting parallel investigations alongside the EC.
The situation in Chonburi's 1st district has become a major public concern. This afternoon, the central EC decided to have the Chonburi provincial EC collect facts over two days before submitting the findings to the central EC for consideration on whether to order a recount.
The People's Party observes that Chonburi's 1st district shows multiple suspicious issues, including power outages despite fans still operating.
The announced results have confused the public, and ballot boxes lacked seals. Furthermore, election result slips were reportedly discarded in trash bins. These facts justify the EC ordering an immediate recount without delay, as the public awaits answers.
The People's Party thanks all citizens for helping reclaim justice and transparency. Although they may remain at the location for two more days, the party's candidates will stay alongside to await the final results together.
They emphasize that ballot boxes in Chonburi's 1st district must not be moved or tampered with in any way, and the party will closely monitor the situation.
Subsequently, People's Party representatives showed a video from Ayutthaya's 2nd district clearly depicting vote-buying by a candidate. This evidence could lead the EC to order a new election and disqualify the offenders from running again.
The People's Party will submit this video to the EC for consideration on whether to call a re-election, as the actions shown are dishonest.
Teera reiterated that their demands are not because the People's Party refuses to accept defeat, but because elections determine the country's leadership. If any party gains votes through dishonest means, it results in a government lacking integrity.
The People's Party representatives also urge the EC to perform their duties with honesty and fairness; otherwise, they risk legal prosecution under Section 157 for neglecting their responsibilities.
