Chonburi remains unsettled as a crowd storms a warehouse after discovering election boxes being moved. "Chonburi District 3" At night, Election Commission officials confirm that moving boxes during nighttime is not against the law.
On 10 Feb 2026 GMT+7, after Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, former party-list MP of the People’s Party (PP), posted on Facebook stating, "Hey! In Chonburi District 3, election boxes are being moved. I'm going to find them."
Later, many citizens went to the location and livestreamed, seeing several officials unloading election boxes from vehicles into a warehouse. Subsequently, Election Commission officials explained that the area serves as the storage site for election boxes from all districts in Chonburi province. They have rented this facility for years without any issues.
Regarding moving boxes at night, officials said they did not break the law because police vehicles were present. They emphasized their integrity and that all related officials from District 3 were overseeing the process. The reason for not moving boxes during the day was due to other commitments officials had. This task is not part of their regular duties; election work requires a team. Therefore, daytime is reserved for their regular jobs, and after those are done, they perform election duties at night for the Election Commission.
