Royal Decree Relieves Three Generals from Royal Guard Duties

The Royal Gazette published a royal decree relieving Lieutenant General Chalermkiat, Major General Chalermchai, and Air Chief Marshal Phaedet, special royal guard officers, from their duties as royal guards.


On 10 February 2026, the Royal Gazette website published the decree. The royal decree announced that the special royal guard officers are relieved from royal guard duties. The content is as follows:

By royal command, it has been decreed that special royal guard officers are relieved from their duties, pursuant to Section 7 of the Security Service Act 2017, Sections 6, 7, and 11 of the Royal Guards Act 1937, and Clause 6 of the Ministry of Defence’s Royal Guard Appointment Regulations 2016. Accordingly, three special royal guard officers are relieved of their duties as follows:

1. Lieutenant General Chalermkiat Pimton
2. Major General Chalermchai Chaisawat
3. Air Chief Marshal Phaedet Wongpinkaeo

Effective from 4 February 2026.
Announced on 9 February 2026, the 11th year of the current reign.
