The Election Commission explained that the image showing a power outage during vote counting with fans still operating was not from Chonburi but from Nonthaburi Province. Only the lighting was uneven in some areas. They confirmed no objections were raised and no fraud was found.
On 11 Feb 2026 at 15:30, the Office of the Election Commission issued a statement addressing the circulation of images and claims that a polling station in Chonburi experienced a power outage during vote counting, yet fans were still running. They clarified this was untrue. The office received reports from the Nonthaburi provincial Election Commission that the incident shown in online media and TV, alleged to have occurred in Chonburi, was actually from a polling station in Nonthaburi's 7th electoral district, which sparked criticism regarding transparency. Subsequently, the videographer confirmed the event took place at a polling station in Nonthaburi's 7th electoral district.
Fact-checking revealed the incident occurred at polling station 18, electoral district 7, Sai Noi Municipality, in front of Praram Village, Pruksa 10, Sai Noi Subdistrict, Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi. The video was filmed on-site, but Mr. Natthapong Kesapong, chairman of the polling station committee, confirmed that the lighting was not out. During counting, only two light bulbs were installed close together in the tent's center, which did not illuminate the entire counting area evenly. However, ambient light from the village helped visibility, allowing normal counting. The counting proceeded without objections or discrepancies in ballot numbers versus voters. No ballot irregularities were found. The investigation concluded there was no fraud or misconduct by the polling station committee at station 18.
