Rathaboom Posts: Over 7,000 Ballots Discrepancy in Phetchabun District 1, Requests Election Commission Transparency

Rathaboom Lertpaijit, People's Party candidate for Phetchabun District 1, requests transparency from the Election Commission after discovering a discrepancy of more than 7,000 ballots between district and party-list votes.

On 11 February 2026, Rathaboom Lertpaijit, People's Party candidate for Phetchabun District 1, posted that upon receiving two sets of documents from the Election Commission, he was puzzled why the number of ballots in the district MP and party-list polling stations did not match.

The number of ballots at the district MP polling stations is 81,416.

The number of ballots at the party-list polling stations is 88,738.

Why are there nearly 7,000 more party-list ballots than district ballots when in reality the numbers should be equal because they reflect the number of voters? The Election Commission said it will resolve this within 2-3 days.

Initially, I have sent this information to the party headquarters. I will update everyone as I learn more. I want to emphasize that we seek transparency. Every vote cast must be accurately counted and reflect the true will of the people.
