Narumon, Minister of Education, traveled to Hat Yai District to join the royal water-pouring funeral ceremony for the director of Patong Prathankiriwat School. She also visited injured students and offered encouragement to those affected by the armed assailant's attack inside the school.
12 February 2026 GMT+7 Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Education, was scheduled to travel to Songkhla Province to participate in the royal water-pouring funeral rite for Mrs. Sasiphat Sinsomros, director of Patong Prathankiriwat School, at Wat Yung Thong, Tha Khang Subdistrict, Hat Yai District. She also visited and offered support to those affected by the incident in which an armed assailant took a weapon from police and stormed Patong Prathankiriwat School.
At 1:30 p.m., Narumon was scheduled to visit and encourage students injured and receiving treatment at Songklanagarind Hospital. Afterwards, she would visit Patong Prathankiriwat School to receive a situation report and closely monitor security measures, while offering support to administrators, teachers, students, and parents affected by the incident.
At 4:00 p.m., the Minister of Education was to participate in the royal water-pouring funeral ceremony for the director of Patong Prathankiriwat School at Wat Yung Thong, to express condolences and honor the deceased from the incident.
