General Rangsi announced that the Economic Party will join forces with Bhumjaithai to support forming the government, emphasizing there are no conditions for ministerial seats and pledging to combat scammers and manage security.
On 12 February 2026, General Rangsi Kitiyanansap, leader of the Economic Party, together with the party's executive committee and prospective party-list MPs, held a press conference regarding the party's political direction after the election. The party reached a unanimous decision to support Bhumjaithai in forming the new government and has already held preliminary discussions with Bhumjaithai.
General Rangsi stated that the meeting with Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of Bhumjaithai, went well. He confirmed there were no negotiations over ministerial posts, leaving such decisions to the leading party as appropriate. The Economic Party clearly aims to incorporate policies on security and the crackdown on scammer networks into the government's agenda to address public hardships.
When asked about calls for a nationwide vote recount due to irregularities in several areas, General Rangsi said that this is the responsibility and authority of the Election Commission (EC). Whether a recount occurs or not does not affect them. The Economic Party is ready to proceed with government cooperation according to the proper procedures.
