Anutin and Ja Register Marriage on Auspicious Day Before Valentine’s Day

Sweet moment as Anutin and Ja Thanon held their marriage registration on the auspicious day of Thongchai and Athibodi, Friday, 13 Feb, in the morning, ahead of Valentine’s Day.

At 10:40 a.m. on 13 Feb 2026, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, arrived at Government House and paid respects to a replica statue of the deity Narasingha. Later, at 12:00 p.m., he inspected and chaired a meeting with economic ministers and Foreign Ministry executives at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to reporters, that same morning at his private residence, Anutin invited officials from Dusit District Office to conduct the marriage registration with Ms. Thanon Niramit, his wife. Their son and daughter, Mr. Seranee Charnvirakul and Ms. Nainpak Charnvirakul, served as witnesses.

This registration took place before Valentine’s Day, the day of love on 14 Feb 2026. Notably, 13 Feb is an auspicious day marked as Thongchai and Athibodi.

At 2:40 p.m., Anutin arrived at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters with a beaming smile. When asked if he was happy on this pre-Valentine morning, having registered his marriage, the Prime Minister replied, “My heart is pink.”

The Prime Minister came to the Bhumjaithai Party to await leaders of the Pheu Thai Party, who would arrive to discuss plans for forming a coalition government this afternoon.

Marriage registration on the 13th, same as Ja’s birthday, who said she did not rely on an astrologer.

At 4:41 p.m., Anutin explained why he chose 13 Feb to register his marriage to Ms. Thanon Niramit (Ja), saying the date was chosen because his wife was born on the 13th, as was he, though in different months. When asked if they had checked an auspicious date beforehand, Anutin said no, as previous registrations without date checks had not succeeded. He added that choosing Dusit District had no special reason other than convenience. When asked if his heart was red today, he laughed but did not answer.
